How to Create Email Account in cPanel?

Creating a custom email address linked to your domain using cPanel is simple and efficient. Whether you’re running a business or managing a personal domain, here’s how to create an email account in cPanel in just a few steps:

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Log Into Your cPanel Account
To begin, log into your cPanel dashboard using the credentials provided by your web hosting provider.

2. Go to the “Email” Section
Once logged in, scroll down to the “Email” section and click on the “Email Accounts” icon.

3. Add a New Email Address
Under the “Add Email Account” form:

  • In the Username field, type your desired email (e.g., info, sales, or my-first-email).
  • If your cPanel hosts more than one domain, select the appropriate domain from the dropdown menu.

4. Create a Secure Password
Enter a strong password manually or use the Password Generator to create one. Make sure to store this password securely.

5. Set Mailbox Quota (Optional)
You can define a storage quota (e.g., 100MB, 1GB) or select “Unlimited” depending on your hosting plan. Leave it as-is unless you have specific restrictions.

6. Click “Create Account”
Once you’ve filled in all the fields, click the “Create Account” button.

What Happens Next?

Your new email account will now appear under the “Account & Domain” tab in the same section. From here, you can:

  • Access webmail
  • Configure email clients like Outlook or Thunderbird
  • Manage quotas, passwords, and more

Tips:

  • Use secure, unique passwords for each email account.
  • Configure email forwarding if you want to receive emails in another account.
